It has been observed that, the UK’s tech visa scheme for technology workers carry on to be very famous among Indians.
The scheme by means of which UK plans to entice global talents, permits foreign talents to work in the UK without being hired by any employer.
According to the reports, most of the applications in the first eight months of 2021 were made from India, Nigeria, Russia and the US.
Since the year 2014, the total number of visa applications via the UK Global Talent Visa, as the scheme is formally known, has crossed 4,000.
As stated by Tech Nation, the official authorizing body for high level UK immigration in the technology sector, 897 visa applications were acknowledged from Indian nationals in 2020 – the highest from any country. It was followed by the United States with 410 visa submissions. With 55 applications, Pakistan stood at the eighth position.
On the other hand, Indians performed badly last year in terms of endorsement, way behind many other countries.
