So this may be an European Institution but the Convention itself is certainly international”.
Conference on the Fight against the Manipulation of Sports Competitions
20-21 September, Strasbourg – Participants coming from 46 countries and five continents will gather at the International Conference on the fight against the manipulation of sports competitions – Promotion and Implementation of the Macolin Convention. The 140 delegates representing the main national and international actors, public authorities, law enforcement, sports movement, betting operators and regulators, will meet to discuss the priorities to be implemented as part of the Macolin Convention, the first international legally-binding text of its kind. Its entry into force will be an essential step towards efficient responses to sports manipulation world-wide.
