https://amzn.to/2DKECKS Trenton Cowles of the USA took just nine arrows to claim gold in the men’s Archery Individual Recurve at the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018.
He beat Akash Akash of India 6-0 at the Youth Olympic Park. Athletes have three arrows per set, with two points for winning the set and one each for a drawn set. The first to six points wins.
Cowles proved too powerful for Akash, who had no answer to the American’s accuracy, and Cowles easily completed the shoutout to take his place on top of the podium.
Belgium’s Senna Roos claimed bronze, beating Artem Ovchynnikov of the Ukraine 7-3 in the bronze medal match.
