In this video, I’ll share detailed information about Goa’s best beaches, where to stay in Goa, what to eat with some important travel tips.
Transport for Airport & Railway Station
Goa’s airport name is Dabolim Airport and is situated outside of the main city. It will take you 1.5-2 hours from airport to reach your stay. There are no Uber or Ola services available in Goa. You can book a cab in advance from the details given below (my recommendation). The cost will be around 1500Rs. and the cab can accommodate upto 6 people.

If you’re coming solo, then you can also book a bike ride to the city. It will cost around 700Rs, and you will find them available by walking outside of the airport.
The nearest Railway Station to Goa is Madgaon and is around 50kms from Goa. If you arrive in day time, you will find plenty of buses available to reach the city, otherwise you book a cab from the same person I’ve mentioned above. The cost is around 1700Rs.
Accommodation in Goa – Apartment – My Recommendation
I stayed at a private AirBnb apartment in Calangute, Goa. The owner name is Dev and he is a great guy. He will help you out with everything during your stay. The area is peaceful and quite, also near to major attractions. There’s also a super market in walking the distance.

You can call him directly for booking.
Accommodation in Goa – Hostel
If you’re on a tight budget, you can stay in a shared hostel in Goa. I stayed at the hostel Rootsvilla in Vagator area for 2 nights. I didn’t recommend it in the video because it wasn’t quite there, so I didn’t really enjoy my time there. If that’s something that doesn’t bother you and that if you are going to Goa for partying only then you can go ahead with the hostel option.
It will cost you around 300-400rs per night at the hostel.
Mr. Nishant (+91-9822584773) – costs 400rs a day in general.
Beaches To Explore
While there are so many beaches in Goa, it is hard to recommend just one BUT if you’re going to North Goa specifically then Ozran beach is the best one. It’s quite, peaceful and clean.
Baga beach is the most crowded one. If you want to party with other people, then it’s the beach for you.
Vagator beach is also clean, less crowded and near to the hostel I’ve mentioned above.
